Maheen Faisal Siddiqui, Ph.D. Maheen received her PhD from Birkbeck, University of London in 2018 and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development at Birkbeck, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). During her PhD, Maheen led the application of broadband NIRS to infant research. Maheen’s main research interests are in using broadband NIRS in infants and toddlers to understand how energy metabolism and neurovascular coupling mechanisms shape the brain during development.
